Repository of UN Women’s work on technology-facilitated gender-based violence
The rapid global digitalization is resulting in an intensification of violence against women and girls across online and offline spaces, exacerbating existing forms and leading to the surge of new types of gender-based violence. Despite recent efforts to address technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TF GBV), significant gaps remain and hamper the delivery of effective response and prevention policies and programmes to end TF GBV.
UN Women works to bridge data and research gaps and to support laws and policies to prevent and respond to TF GBV, adapting essential services to support survivors, and working to prevent technology-facilitated gender-based violence in the first place by transforming social norms and engaging men and boys. This repository presents resources and publications developed by UN Women on TF GBV.
