Women are key to peace: A survivor’s story
A well-known volunteer in Ukraine, Iryna Dovhan, has organized local women and helped the Ukrainian Army during the conflict in Donbas. She has survived captivity, violence, and abuse, and now dedicates herself to addressing conflict-related sexual violence. She conducts trainings for the Ukrainian Army and meets with European politicians to seek justice. Her story testifies to the extraordinary contributions women make to peace.
This video is part of the UN Women campaign “Women are key to peace”, supported by Canada, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and the European Union.
