In Colombia, as rivers and seas meet, so women in their diversity have met during decades of tireless work. The voices and stories collected in this film are just a sample of the immense diversity of Colombian women. Theirs is a story that resonates with world events. It is a story that must be told so as not to forget and not repeat the horrors of war—but also, and above all, to inspire.

“When waters flow as one” encourages women and men to work together for equality and human rights. UN Women produced this documentary with the support of the Embassy of Sweden in Colombia and in partnership with the legacy of the Colombian Truth Commission.
