Transitional justice and empowering women for sustainable peace in Zimbabwe

At a conference at the Woodrow Wilson Center, Nontando Ndhlovu discusses the transitional justice framework in Zimbabwe following conflict and political violence. She reiterates the urgent need to include women in reconciliation and peacebuilding.

Drawing on lessons from transitional justice processes in Colombia and Liberia, conference participants discuss and propose policy recommendations to amplify women’s voices in advancing sustainable peace in Zimbabwe.
